چکیده

The influence of the nickel content and cooling rate on niobium nitride precipitation in as-cast stainless steels were analysed. Niobium microalloying is important for mechanical properties prevention intergranular corrosion steels. However, coarse precipitates can negatively affect steel properties. NbN depends thermodynamic conditions, which are dictated by chemical composition temperature. computations used to estimate precipitation. Additionally, segregation models predict Three batches with different contents (9 wt.%, 4.7 0.16 wt.%) prepared an induction furnace cast into sand moulds. polished etched samples examined optical microscope, followed a more detailed examination using scanning electron microscope. An automatic microscope analysis particles was performed obtain particle number size distribution. Primary carbonitrides, eutectic phases, heterogenous nucleations MnS inclusions observed. As proportion solution decreased, solubility nitrogen melt increased, manifested lower formation primary while non-metallic played role heterogeneous nucleation.

Influence of Heat Treatment Time and Temperature on the Microstructure and Corrosion Resistance of Cast Superaustenitic Stainless Steels

The influence of heat treatment time and temperature on the microstructure and corrosion resistance of cast stainless steel alloys CN3MN (UNS J94651) and CK3MCuN (UNS J93254) were investigated with a combination of microscopy techniques and immersion corrosion testing. The as-cast alloys exhibited significant residual microsegregation of Mo across the dendritic substructure and the presence of ...

critical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language

since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...

Influence of Initial Microstructure on Hot Deformation Behavior of Duplex Stainless Steels

In this research the effect of initial microstructure on hot deformation behavior in terms of Ferrite-to-Austenite ratios is studied. Two types of stainless steels C1 and C2 were homogenizing heat-treated and deformed under hot compression examinations at temperatures 900ºC and 1100ºC at strain rate of 0.1s-1. The results showed that the flow stress levels of specimens are strongly r...

Continuous Cooling Transformation in Cast Duplex Stainless Steels CD3MN and CD3MWCuN

The kinetics of brittle phase transformation in cast duplex stainless steels CD3MN and CD3MWCuN was investigated under continuous cooling conditions. Cooling rates slower than 5 °C/min. were obtained using a conventional tube furnace with a programable controller. In order to obtain controlled high cooling rates, a furnace equipped to grow crystals by means of the Bridgman method was used. Samp...

Y Studies on Austenitic Stainless Steels

Abstract--In this investigation, the fracture surfaces of SS 304 and SS 316 austenitic steels were analysed using the X-ray fractography technique. In both cases, a decrease in the austenite content was observed at the fracture surface as a result of deformation induced martensite, indicating a linear relation with Km~ within the stable crack growth region. The presence of this martensite was f...
